Come out and support Israel

AMERICANS UNITED WITH ISRAEL

Aug 14 Rally in Atlanta to show support for the Middle East's only true democracy, and the US partner.
What other Middle Eastern country has true freedom of religion? Show support for the tiny country of ISRAEL!

Reflections on Israel

After our almost two week trip to Israel, it too awhile to digest all that I had felt and seen there. The country is simply amazing to me. The varied beauty of the land from the rocky desert to the lush mountains, and the Mediterranean coast, the contrasts are a visual bounty.
Meeting people who are so in love with their land and have intense pride in what they have accomplished there is a joy.
I know I will go back, but not sure just why and when. I would like to find a way to stay there awhile and help out in some capacity, as much is needed. The fields are white and the laborers are few, but they are blessed.

I STAND WITH ISRAEL!

I am a worship and praise leader: a musician. I am a Jew.
I stand with Israel in this time when my own nation is no longer doing so. I am sad to see the US turn towards the wrong side in this struggle. There are no settlements, I saw only villages of people living their lives. There is no reason to go "back" to a border that never was...and should never be. No reason to negotiate with terrorists. When Jews and Christians in the Land are not respected, there is no reason to sit down and talk.
I am a musician, but also a Jew and I stand with Israel.

Trip to Israel

We just returned from an incredible trip and tour of Israel. My second time in "the Land", and we were able to travel from one corner to another and see so much it was beyond description. What a joyous time! Singing and leading praise on the Sea of Galilee, with a mirror like surface and a soft breeze blowing.
Singing at a serious and somber Yom Ha'Shoa service and then visiting Yad Va'Shem the Holocaust museum. Visiting the Valley of tears at the Golan and reliving the 73 Yom Kippur War. Pausing to listen to the sirens as we honored the war dead.
On a lighter side- floaing in the Dead Sea, seeing the place King David stayed in the desert, and then the caves in Qumram where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
Much more to tell ....and pictures to come

Shofar teaching and blowing

My friend Walt Lundsford has made teaching about and blowing the shofar , his ministry. He does a great job of both telling about the meaning of the various sound sequences, and also actually demonstrating his prowess in blowing the shofar.
Here is a link to a recent video of Walt at New Song Church in Covington, GA.

Snowed in!

Georgia has had it's first major snowstorm in years. What makes this one different is that the temperatures have stayed under freezing for days, makein the road impassable. We are able to get out as we have a seriously large truck, but schools and most businesses are closed.
I have been using the time to catch up on reading, and playing lots of guitar. Thank God we have electricity as this would be unbearable in a freezing house.

Prayer for the homeless at this time is especially important.
